
HISTORY OF WYYC AM-1250
WYYC serves the York, PA area with a population of over 1.1 million. The station began airing in 1948 covering York County and reaching into the neighboring communities of Harrisburg and Lancaster, PA. Wilkins Communications purchased the station in 2005 changing the call letters to WYYC and began airing the Christian teaching talk format.
The coverage area of WYYC has traditionally been a very responsive area for Christian ministries throughout the years. Some of the current national programs that air on this station include Turning Point, Grace to You, Jay Sekulow Live, John Hagee Today, The Family Altar and People to People.
