Stewarding Time and Money

radio listeners February 23, 2026

The real roots of St. Patrick’s Day trace back to Saint Patrick, a missionary who shared the gospel in Ireland and helped spread Christianity there. Rather than just a cultural or festive holiday, it can be a meaningful day for modern Christians to reflect on bold faith, obedience, and the call to share Christ with others. We can celebrate by praying for missionaries, studying Scripture, serving our communities, and thanking God for the people who have shaped our own faith journeys. As Jesus reminds us in Matthew 28:19, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,” this day can be a simple but powerful opportunity to refocus on living out that mission in our own lives.

Stewarding Our Time With Eternal Perspective

Time is one of the few resources we cannot get back once it’s gone. Scripture reminds us in Psalm 90:12 to “teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” When we steward our time well, we choose what matters most—investing in our relationship with God, nurturing our families, serving others, and living with purpose instead of distraction. Rather than striving for busyness or productivity alone, we are called to live intentionally, asking God how He wants us to use the moments He has given us.

Stewarding Our Money With Trust and Generosity

Money often reveals where our true security lies. In Matthew 6:21, Jesus teaches, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Faithful stewardship means viewing money not as something we own, but something we manage on God’s behalf. This perspective frees us to give generously, live within our means, avoid debt when possible, and trust that God will provide. As we practice generosity and wise stewardship, we reflect God’s grace and become a blessing to others. Ultimately, stewarding both time and money is an act of worship. It is a daily opportunity to surrender control, trust God more deeply, and live with eternity in mind.
